Love - Hate

Dawson has a love hate relationship with chapstick. On this particular day he got Abigales little mermaid chapstick out and rubbed it all over his face and hair. Normally it is clear so you can't tell. He came up to me saying chastick and when I showed him what he looked like in the mirror he flipped. He is not so fond of chapstick anymore.

Pre school

Abigale also started school. She is attending A Place to Grow Preschool and loves it. She is such a smart little girl and loves learning. She has been reading for a few months and is really enjoying it. It is very exciting to watch your kids grow up but also a little sad.

East Canyon

I took the kids to East Canyon for one last trip before winter hit. We stayed in a condo at the East Canyon resort where grandma and papa have a time share. The kids had a great time playing miniature golf, tennis, soccer, and of course eating. We are so blessed to have had so many wonderful vacations to make memories.

School starts

I know that it has been months since I have posted but I want to try and catch up. The boys started school on August 20. Ethan is in 4th grade and Gavin is in 1st grade. They were both so excited and are really enjoying school this year. Every once and a while Gavin will say can I be absent today but not often.

Fun at the park

It was wet and muddy but the kids had a blast!

"Nice" girl

So today Abigale said, " Mom am I a nice girl?" I said, "Yes you are thank you." " When I become a teenager I won't be a nice girl anymore." I'm thinking crap and ask her why? She replies. "Because when I am a teenager I won't be nice because I will always cry." So funny.

Family night with friends

We went up American Fork canyon to roast hot dogs and marshmallows with some of our friends. It was so much fun. The men struggled to get a fire going but the kids didn't care, they were off on adventures and eating smore's. We had a little lesson and left when it got dark. It was great to be in the mountains.

Poor Nina

I have the worst luck with my chickens. We got 2 new chickens that were the same age as the other remaining two. One was named Nina and was Abigale's. Well one night I went out to check on them and her chest and neck was all ripped open. We assume that she was trying to get out of the little gap in the door and got hung up on the chicken wire. These pictures are after she got stitches and look so much better than they did earlier. It was like a boneless skinless chicken breast staring at me. Poor little girl. I have to give her antibiotics for 5 days. Hope things start going better with the chickens because my happy spirits are almost gone.

Childrens gardens

I went with my mom to take my kids and my sister's kids to the gardens at Thanksgiving point. Dawson wasn't crazy about the water but the other kids liked it. We had a few snacks, played in the water, and looked at all of the flowers. It was so beautiful and another fun day with the cousins.

Papa and Grandma's house

Heather had surgery so we tried to spend as much time with her kids as possible. Grandma and Papa let us come over and play in their backyard. The kids got Popsicle and ice cream sandwiches. They were so happy and had a great time with their cousins.
