So I let the kids stay up until 9 tonight because I was mowing the lawn. They had so much fun playing on the swing set and running around in the grass. I got them in bed and did some work on the computer. As I walked down the hall to my room I heard some noise in Abigales room so I slowly opened the door and she said, mom what letter does dress and pants start with? I think that my ABC time is back firing on me. Now all she thinks about is letters. It is 10:00 at night and she is usually asleep by 8:00. I can just pictures all of those letters floating around in her head. Little cutie!!!!
ABC time

On Tuesday the 17 I started my summer activities with the kids. We are learning the sound of all of the letters of the alphabet. We did A on Tuesday and the kids loved it. Because Ethan is older he was my assistant and did reading for me. We first read a "A" book, colored a big A and little A. We had yellow, green, and red apples for a snack and then made pictures, painting with apples. Everyday it will be a different letter with activities that go along with it. I think there pictures turned out so cute.
Family night

On Monday night we took the kids to Thanksgiving Point to the Farm country. They had a blast. There were two little baby calves that were so cute. We took a ride on the wagon and Dawson loved it. He kept laughing and clapping at the horses. He is such a sweet baby. The kids were able to hold a baby duck, chick, and turkey that just hatched that morning. They made a little chick out of paper with feathers. Gavin got a little frustrated because it didn't work quite like he wanted but they all ended up pleased with the results. Gavin is to the age that if I tell him that his picture looks great and he has messed up, he gets mad and says no mom it doesn't look great. He is so funny. On the way home he said Ethan I can't wait until I am 45, then I can watch Ghostbusters. I have no idea where 45 came from.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY 2008

Another fathers day came and went. Each of the kids had a gift and homemade card to give there dad. He got new jeans, t-shirt, basketball shorts, and a dress shirt. Ethan made him breakfast that consisted of a waffle with boysenberry syrup, sliced strawberries and cranrasberry to drink. We went to church and later in the evening went to visit my dad. I thought it was a good day but if anyone has ever given there husband the perfect fathers day please let me know how.
