EASTER DAY

The Easter bunny made his appearance once again like he does every year. Gavin wrote him a note and had him sign it. He was very excited about that. Ethan got new goalie gloves, new pj's, a walmart gift card, shorts, and a shirt and CANDY. Gavin got a foot ball, pj's, a walmart gift card, shorts and shirt and CANDY. Abigale got a little puppy purse, soccer ball, new pj's, shirt and shorts, and CANDY. Dawson got a soccer ball, pj's, shorts, shirt, and CANDY. WE had bunny shaped pancakes and eggs for breakfast. They had a great morning. We went to church and dad got a headache so he stayed in bed all day. We had ham for dinner with rolls, potato salad, watermelon, and a yummy strawberry creme pie. We also had some little birds nest made of no bake cookies and little candy eggs in the nest. It was a fun day for the kids.

Easter Party at Dudley's

Kris and Wade invited us over to have a BBQ and Easter party. We ate, did and Easter egg hunt, decorated cookies, and dyed eggs. The kids had such a great time with cousins, grandparents, and aunts and uncles.

Easter egg hunt

We did an Easter egg hunt with a few of our friends. It was quick and simple but the kids had a great time! What great friends we have!

MY "SHOOT GUN"

Dawson has recently found a love for the Nerf guns, or as he calls it "shoot guns." He loves it when I set up toys around his room and then he shoots them down. It is a little trickier now that he has a cast on so he holds the gun between his legs and cocks it with the other. What a cute boy!

SPRING

I am seeing signs of spring all around. Green lawns, flowers in bloom, blossoms on trees and birds in trees. (That rhymed hee hee) About one week ago I was looking out my back window and saw this darling bird sitting in my tree so I had to take some pictures. While I was doing that a big hawk or something like that flew over head. Crazy weather, now it is supost to snow again :(

Seedlings

So I planted some veggies the end of March and have been growing them in my windowsill. I feel like I have a pet. I am constantly watching them and making sure the sun is shinning on them and that the soil is moist. They have grown so much. Sometimes I put them on my kitchen floor by my sliding glass door and move them around as the sun moves. It is crazy but I am so excited for it to get warm enough to plant them outside.

Petroglyphs

My mom and dad spent our last day of spring break with us. They took us to see some cool Petroglyphs at Anasazi ridge.. It was quite a hike and Dawson had a little bit of a hard time but did it all the way to the top by himself. At the very end going back Papa gave him a ride on his shoulders. It was very cool to see the art on the rocks that has been their for many years. We had a great trip and went home Sunday afternoon!

More spring break fun

We went to another great park and I brought chalk and Dawson's plasma car so he would have more to do. He had so much fun drawing. the kids would take the plasma car to the top of a big hill and glide all the way down. they had a great time. After that we went to Pirate Island Pizza and had a great lunch.

Dixie Narrows

We went on a hike and the kids were able to squeeze through these cool tight spaces between the rocks. I hiked with Dawson a bit but it was hard with his cast. What a great time the kids had, not to mention the energy that they were able to release.

bubbles, smiles, and potato bugs

Grandma Triptow gave the kids pez and bubbles for Easter and they had so much fun doing them in St. George. Dawson found a potato bug and thought it was so cool to watch it walk around his cast. They are so cute and really enjoyed the great weather that we had for spring break.
